Building the European Cloud, Edge & IOT Continuum for business and research
OpenContinuum energises the cloud-edge-IoT domain by driving the supply side of the computing continuum landscape. Its mission is to accelerate European strategic autonomy and interoperability through the creation of an open ecosystem for the computing continuum, with open source and open standards serving as vital pillars. This ecosystem brings together R&I projects within the cloud-edge-IoT portfolio, evolving the existing cloud and IoT communities while incorporating new actors, initiatives, and significant alliances. While OpenContinuum’s supply-side focus shapes the themes and activities of the project, it doesn’t limit the scope of community building. The project actively unites the cloud and IoT communities, ensuring all perspectives are heard and fostering a shared vision. It then empowers European actors to take the lead in open-source projects and standardisation efforts, guiding them to make impactful contributions.
In OpenContinuum, Martel leads communication, dissemination, exploitation and standardisation activities to ensure broad and durable impact of the project’s outcomes.
