6G Non-Terrestrial Networks
The 6G NTN project, part of Horizon Europe, is on a mission to revolutionise mobile networks by driving cutting-edge research and development across technical, business, regulatory, and standardisation fronts. The goal is to fully integrate the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) component into the 6G system, securing European leadership in this transformative field. With a bold vision to expand coverage, enhance resilience, and boost the sustainability of next-generation networks, the project is set to meet the demands of both vertical and consumer markets, while unlocking new value chains and creating a profound societal impact. As part of the European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), this public-private partnership is propelling Europe to the forefront of 5G and 6G innovation.
