Quantum Photonic Integration
QPIC1550 stands at the forefront of a technological revolution, driving advancements in Quantum Photonic Integrated Circuits (QPICs)
The QPIC 1550 project aims to build a groundbreaking universal QPIC platform at 1550nm by for the first time integrating InP, Quantum Dots, and InGaAs detectors onto SiN PICs. This innovative platform promises to transform quantum photonics by enabling the generation of on-demand single photons and entangled photon pairs, along with highly efficient single photon detection. Its compatibility with existing optical fiber networks makes it a cost-effective solution for quantum communication, computing, and metrology.
In this project, Martel Netherlands takes the lead in communication and dissemination, playing a crucial role in project management.
QPIC1550 began in December 2023 and runs for 48 months.
