Bringing the Next Generation Internet Forum to life

The Next Generation Internet will be moving one step closer on the 13th of September, when the NGI Forum 2017 begins in Barcelona. Be part of the event!

Promoting the Next Generation Internet (NGI) Initiative

Launched by the European Commission in autumn 2016, the NGI initiative aims to shape the Future Internet as an interoperable platform ecosystem that embodies the values that Europe holds dear: openness, inclusivity, transparency, privacy, cooperation, and protection of data. The NGI Forum is an important step towards realizing that goal.

The NGI Forum

On the 13th of September in Barcelona, the NGI Forum  will gather together prominent actors in the fields that are building and refining the Internet of tomorrow. Featuring eminent speakers from the public and private sectors, the Forum represents a unique opportunity to share knowledge with leading experts from across a variety of disciplines, including privacy and trust technologies, blockchain, decentralised data governance, edge intelligence, discovery and identification, and more.

The day of the Forum will also be an opportunity to learn and discuss specific topics in working sessions, where participants will contribute to the dialogue on the best way to meet these ambitious goals, and contribute to mapping the Next Generation Internet ecosystem. To facilitate creativity and brainstorming, the attendees of each session will be given Playedo bricks on where they can draw and write their ideas towards a common relevant outcome. You can read more about the detailed agenda here.
