On the 6-7 November, Martel attended the Open Innovation Days in Milan, Italy, for two days of presentations, best practices, exhibition and debates around innovation and social impact.
Martel participated in the Open Innovation Days to join with other digital social innovators in discussing how ICT can improve our society by helping to better address a number of social and sustainability problems. It is events like these, as well as programmes like the European Horizon 2020 that can help towards relaunching European leadership in the spheres of technology and digitization.
In Milan, Roshan Paul, CEO and cofounder of The Amani Institute, opened the two-day workshop with a talk entitled “Technology per-se is not innovation. Innovation happens when behaviours change and when new opportunities arise.”
